’t Torreke was ooit een toegangspoort tot het kasteel van Dadizele. Tot WO I bestond er een identiek torentje met schepenzaal aan de andere kant van de muur langs de Plaats. In 1977 werd het park met de gebouwen door de gemeente aangekocht. Wat nu het gemeentelijk domein ‘t Torreke is, bestond vroeger uit stallingen, een koetshuis en een conciërgewoning. Het huis van de rentmeester langs de Remi Dewittestraat werd in 1983 gesloopt. In 1990 werd het gerestaureerde gedeelte door de gemeente als Cultureel Centrum ‘t Torreke officieel geopend. Boven de toegangspoort het wapen van de familie de Croix, heren van Dadizele.

't Torreke ( La tourelle )

't Torreke était autrefois une porte d'entrée vers le château de Dadizele. Jusqu'à la Première Guerre mondiale, il y avait une tourelle identique avec la chambre des échevins de l'autre côté du mur le long de la Place. En 1977, le parc avec les bâtiments a été acheté par la municipalité. L'ancien domaine municipal 't Torreke se composait d'écuries, d'une remise et d'une maison de concierge. La maison de l'intendant le long de la rue Remi Dewitte a été démolie en 1983. En 1990, la partie restaurée a été officiellement inaugurée par la municipalité en tant que centre culturel et touristique 't Torreke. Au-dessus de la porte d'entrée se trouvent les armoiries de la famille de Croix, seigneurs de Dadizele.

’t Torreke

‘t Torreke (the Turret) was once a gateway to Dadizele castle. Until WWI, there was an identical turret with aldermen's hall on the other side of the wall along the Plaats. In 1977, the park with the buildings was purchased by the municipality. What is now the municipal domain of 't Torreke, used to consist of stables, a coach house and a caretaker's house. The steward's house along the Remi Dewittestraat was demolished in 1983. In 1990 the restored part was officially opened by the municipality as Cultural Center 't Torreke. Above the entrance gate, the coat of arms of the de Croix family, lords of Dadizele.
